The newest airline in India, Akasa Air, launched its first flights on the Bengaluru-Mumbai route today, enabling it to operate twice-daily flights in both directions. After the flights between Bengaluru and Kochi and Mumbai-Ahmedabad safely took off, this happened.
Flights for Bengaluru-Mumbai Route
According to Akasa Air, the airline will commence one additional daily flight on August 30, 2022, and another on September 19, 2022. The airline has also added a new route between Bengaluru and Chennai, which will commence on September 10, 2022.
The airline mentioned that In line with the airline’s vision of adopting a phased approach to grow its network across India, Akasa Air has already announced flights for six routes across five cities, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Kochi, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
The airline has even started its commercial operations with two aircraft and received its third aircraft on August 16, 2022.
About the Akasa Air
Akasa Air stated that to create a strong pan-India presence with a priority on the metro to tier 2 and 3 route connections, it would continue to expand its fleet by adding one new aircraft every two weeks. By the end of March 2023, Akasa Air’s fleet size will be 18 aircraft, and over the following four years, the airline will add another 54 aircraft, bringing its total fleet size to 72 aircraft.

For the nation’s economic and scientific prowess to advance swiftly, they contend that robust interconnection between these cities is essential.
Furthermore, he added that the fourth city they are connecting to Bengaluru is Chennai as we continue to grow this significant sector. They will start operating twice-daily flights on this new route on September 10.
