boAt India has reached a remarkable milestone of producing over a million made-in-India units in just a single quarter. This comes in between the company’s Rock in India program which aims to demonstrate its support for local content in India. It has shown its continued support for the efforts its staff undertake to produce each item and has dubbed it similar to that of a musician creating music.

boAt has significantly ramped up Indian operations this year

The audio brand has provided a track that highlights the entire festive and loud nature of Indian streets and it also celebrates its factory symphony. This track was done in conjunction with musician Mayur Jumani.

The brand increased production within India this year and their Rockerz, Airdopes, Power Banks, and Cables have all been made in India. The move is a boost for the Make in India initiative that the Government of India introduced in 2014.

The Production Linked Incentive Scheme has aided the company to expand its manufacturing base, the decision to give incentives has helped brands such as boAt to reduce supply chain and logistics disruptions and take advantage of reduced costs.

boAt has a massive market share and they aim to bump it up significantly in the wearables and audio accessories market. Indian brands account for up to 40% and 30% of hearables and wearables market, this is driven by the success of the Make In India initiative and the company claims that it will support the Indian manufacturing system for a brighter and better future for the company as a whole.
