Paris Saint-Germain are working to sign Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz in the coming days. The French club have reached an agreement on personal terms with the player, and are working to finalise the agreement with the Azzurri soon.
According to Fabrizio Romano, it seems only a matter of time before the deal is finalised between the two clubs. PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, is a big fan of the Spaniard and is working to close the deal in the coming days.
Fabian Ruiz close to joining Paris Saint-Germain in the next few days
The 26-year-old would be the third midfield addition for the French side this summer. They have already signed Vitinha and Renato Sanches. But, they have let go of Gini Wijnaldum and are closing the agreement for Idrissa Gana-Gueye to return to Everton.
Real Madrid were interested in signing the player in 2023 on a free transfer when his contract runs out. However, it seems that Campos is not willing to let Madrid have that opportunity as he is trying to sign the player for a fee this year itself.
Fabian Ruiz will be looking to make the Spain national team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but he will have to compete with an unbelievable amount of talent in PSG’s midfield. As a result, it remains to be seen whom Christophe Galtier will give the nod in the heart of the park.
