Marc Cucurella is all set to join Chelsea in the coming days. The left-back was initially pursued by Manchester City in the transfer window. And that caused him to hand in a transfer request to Brighton. But, the Premier League Champions were not willing to offer more than £40 million for his services.

Todd Boehly’s side have made an offer in excess of £50 million for the player, and have reached an agreement. The transfer has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means that it is only a matter of time before the move is official.

The defender will be signing a six-year contract with the London club, and will be completing his medical in the coming days to make the move official.

Brighton recently released a statement rejecting the reports of reaching an agreement. However, Romano has restated that an agreement is in place between the two Premier League clubs for the transfer of Marc Cucurella.

On the other hand, Levi Colwill will be joining Brighton in a separate deal. Chelsea will be receiving around £20-25 million for the transfer, and will include a buyback clause in the deal as well. This means that they will be able to sign the defender back if he shows improvement and Chelsea want their academy graduate back.
