Aaron Ramsey has left Juventus, after mutually terminating his contract. His deal was running until 2023, and the player wanted to get more game time ahead of the 2022 World Cup. As a result, he decided to end his spell at Juventus following a three-year spell.
The Welshman has several options to consider from right now. He could stay in Italy and join Monza, reunite with former Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo at Karagumruk in Turkey, or move to the MLS like his compatriot, Gareth Bale.
Aaron Ramsey ends Juventus stay after 3 years
The midfielder was on a £400,000 per week contract, but failed to justify that salary. Fitness issues and injuries limited him to 49 appearances in two and a half seasons. He spent the latter half of the 21/22 campaign on loan at Scottish side Rangers before returning to Turin for pre-season.
With the likes of Denis Zakaria, Manuel Locatelli, Weston McKennie, Arthur, Adrien Rabiot and Paul Pogba all available, the departure of Ramsey will free up a significant part of the wage bill for the Bianconeri. They are also in talks with Arsenal for Arthur, who also has interest from Valencia.
Adrien Rabiot could also end up leaving the club this summer with him currently not training with the first team. These departures would allow Juventus to address their finances and debt, and focus on other areas of the squad.
