Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig have reached a verbal agreement for the signing of Nordi Mukiele. Once the formalities between the two clubs have been completed, the transfer will be subject to a medical assessment of the player.

Once the Frenchman has passed his medicals, he will be officially announced as the third signing of the summer by PSG. The Ligue 1 champions have signed Vitinha and Hugo Ekitike this summer, and are now looking to add Mukiele to their ranks as well.

Nordi Mukiele to join Paris Saint-Germain soon

The 24-year-old played as a right-back for Leipzig, but can also play as a central defender. If Christophe Galtier uses a three-man central defense, then he might be deployed on the right side of the backline.

The transfer fee agreed for the Frenchman is around £13 million. The transfer will be permanent instead of a loan move with the option of being made permanent. If PSG keep a back four, then Nordi Mukiele will be providing competition for Achraf Hakimi on the right side.

He made 28 appearances this past season in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal and providing three assists. And so far, he has earned one cap for the national team from the bench.

After the arrival of Mukiele, PSG are set to turn their attention to Renato Sanches from Lille. Their acquisition of a defender might end their pursuit of Milan Skriniar from Inter as well.
