HP does have a wide portfolio when it comes with gaming monitors but do lack a bunch of them when it comes to curved gaming monitors. LG, Samsung do have a lot of options in this segment, now, HP is aiming to being a new curved gaming monitor in the budget segment.
The HP X24c curved gaming monitor features 23.6-inch 1500R diagonal display with 1080p resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio and 16:9 aspect ratio.
This is an 8-bit VA panel that 72% NTSC colour gamut, also the display has a 144 Hz refresh rate and supports AMD FreeSync Premium for a tear-free gaming experience. For ports, the monitor comes with a DisplayPort 1.2 port, an HDMI 2.0 port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
By far, this is, in fact, the “most curved” gaming monitor HP has ever made and there’s a reason why HP made a relatively smaller 23.6-inch variant as their studies claim that gamers around the globe are steadily switching to curved displays over time.
The sales for curved gaming monitors went from 29% of all >100 Hz refresh rate displays in Q4 2017 to as much as 63% in Q2 of 2019. So, slowly and steadily, gamers, professionals and even others are too preferring well-curved monitors.
The HP X24c Curved Gaming Monitor will be available in October for an attractive price of just $249, which is awesome! The monitor is also 100 x 100 mm VESA mount compatible.
