The Coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc around the globe. Millions of people have been affected while thousands have died. The normal lifestyle of the people has been turned upside down. It has also affected the economy. As lockdown has been enforced the daily wage workers are finding it difficult to manage their household expenses.
Many countries have somewhat succeeded in tacking the COVID-19 but the number of countries still suffering from this pandemic is quite large.
LaLiga is officially resuming on 11th June, following the footsteps of Bundesliga which resumed on 16th May. Barcelona hold a 2-point lead at the top of the table over their rivals Real Madrid.
Barcelona captain Lionel Messi feels football and life after the Coronavirus pandemic will never be the same as before.
Messi told El Pais: “Many people saw their friends and family pass away. There’s nothing worse than losing your loved ones. I’m very sad about the fact that people couldn’t say goodbye to their families and friends who passed away because of the coronavirus.”
“Football, like life, in general, will never be the same after the coronavirus.”
He further added: “The ambitions are the same – to win everything we can, and I think we’re in good shape to do that. I see the team doing well and it’s hopeful.”
Barcelona will return to action in LaLiga on 13th June against Mallorca away from home.
