Netflix Plans ‘Squid Game’ to become a Reality Show with a handsome cash prize

The Squid Game of Netflix is a series based on people who put their lives at risk and sometimes brutally killed each other on television in order to pay off the crippling debts that provide the life that turns the game into an actual game show. 

Netflix just only has declared that squid Game will come back for the second season, the streamer shared its plans to expand the Battle Royale-esque franchise with the real-world game show inspired by such of the fictional competition at the center of the main series. Just like Squid Game, Squid Game: The Challenge will happen among 456 players across the globe against one another as they battle for a $4.56 million prize that has only been claimed by one participant of this game.

As Netflix has dropped the promotional video having scenes from the fictional Squid Game, it has not yet been specified what sorts of obstacles Squid Game: The Challenge going to throw at contestants.  

The public statement about the new game show, Netflix vice president that also unscripted and having the documentary series with Brandon Riegg sang Squid Game maker Hwang Dong-hyuk’s praises and it just cited the series across the world with success like some of the reasoning is behind Netflix’s decision that converts it into the show that the public can participate in it. 

Riegg said, “We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment,” he also added, “Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as out 456 real-world contestants who navigate the biggest competition series ever, fill with tension and twists, along with the biggest ever cash prize at the end.” 

The main Squid Game series is a Korean adaptation, Netflix is searching mainly for English speakers from anywhere in the world for the new show, per the official recruitment website. The applications to be on Squid Game: The Challenge is now open, and may the odds become ever in the favor.
