LaLiga is following the footsteps of Bundesliga, which is the first major European League to resume its 2019-20 season after the Coronavirus break. LaLiga wants to resume its season on 13th June, it is a proposed date and hasn’t been officially declared till now.
This season the race for the LaLiga title has been quite interesting. The top spot has been shared alternatively by Real Madrid and Barcelona. Real Madrid looked the better side this season. They won the El Clasico too but surprisingly they slipped up the lead and Barcelona were on top of the table before the season was halted by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Barcelona leads Real Madrid by a very fine margin of two points. Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is ready to battle for the LaLiga title when the season resumes.
Courtois told Real Madrid TV on Tuesday.”Everyone is looking forward to restarting LaLiga and keeping fighting to win it.”
“We couldn’t wait to be back at training after two months, being together as a team and despite it being a bit different, it is always nice to come back to Valdebebas to have training. Training at home is different, but I think everyone did well, everyone did what the coach has said and everyone keeps fit, everyone is pretty strong.”
He further added: “Goalkeepers were lucky because we were allowed to do training with the keeper’s coach last week. This week, allowing small groups, team-mates can shoot at us, at least, and you feel it is a real session.”
