KIA EV6 is the brand’s statement to show it’s serious about electric mobility cars
The EV is the most expensive offering from the brand so far and the car’s ICE alternatives are Seltos, Sonet, and Carnival. The EV6 is different from the other cars and a battery entirely powers it, it offers numerous drive, convenience, and other features that make the car one of the safest EVs out there.
It is a strong competitor to its rivals such as Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volkswagen ID.4, and the Tesla Model Y. The fact that none of these cars are available in India makes the EV6 all the more desirable and gives it a first mover’s advantage.
The car comes in two versions, one being a rear-wheel-drive and the other being an all-wheel-drive version. Performance metrics vary but both of them arrive with a 77.4 kWh battery pack at the core. The EV6 has a WLTP-certified range of over 500 KMS but the company officials claim that this number can further be increased.
KIA is looking to establish 150kW DC fast chargers at 15 of its dealerships that will recharge the car from 10% to 80% in just 40 minutes. The EV6 has a unique design language, it focuses more on a stylish profile that is relatively compact in terms of proportions than an SUV design language and body type. It is the perfect daily city commute option and it can also be used for long drives. The car has a tiger-nose grille, sequential turn indicators, LED headlight, and tail light units along with a stylish alloy units
The Indian model has a higher ground clearance in comparison to the overseas model. This lets the car be more suitable for Indian roads. In terms of interiors, there is an increased focus on offering a futuristic and plush appeal with sustainable materials, the cabin is airy and it offers a lot of space to the passengers while taking care of storage space as well. The floating center console is the star of the show but the open storage section under it makes the car an efficiently planned one.
The KIA EV6 is definitely a car worth the price as it comes loaded with features that permit it to rival luxury brands as well. A flowing curved HD display screen for the primary infotainment system as well as driver display is another such instance. The two seats ahead have a zero-gravity recline function while there is a panoramic sunroof, a lot of charging options, ambient lighting, a power outlet under the rear seat for charging home devices, and a lot more.
