A good batting partnership can get a lot of runs for the team. Recently, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock had a partnership run of 210. It has been the talk of the cricketing world, in this article let’s focus on the Top 3 highest partnerships in the history of IPL.

1. KL Rahul & Quinton de Kock (210 runs)

Quinton de Kock scored his second hundred in IPL and also had one of the best opening partnerships with KL Rahul (an unbeaten 68 out of 51 deliveries) . The duo piled up 210 runs in the match against KKR. LSG were invited to bat first, Rahul and De Kock could only add 44 runs in the powerplay. The new entrant was at 111 runs in the 14th over but in the final six overs, they added 99 runs which is massive.

2. Jonny Bairstow & David Warner (185 runs)

The Warner-Bairstow duo had stacked 185 runs against RCB in Hyderabad in 2019. The pair was in a furious form in IPL 2019. They mustered 4-century partnerships at a combined strike rate of 177 and 3 fifty partnerships at a combined strike rate of 151 in the first 9 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In that season, Warner was the highest run-getter with 692 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 143.86. Bairstow made his IPL debut in 2019 and amassed 445 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 157.24.

3. Gautam Gambhir & Chris Lynn (184 runs)

Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn had set up 184 runs in IPL 2017. They surpassed their previous 167-run stand between Chris and Tillakaratne Dilshan (RCB) against Pune Warriors India at Bengaluru in 2013 and the sixth-highest any-wicket stand in IPL. Gujarat Lions mustered 183/4 (20 overs) with Suresh Raina scoring 68 runs out of 51 deliveries and Dinesh Karthik scored 47 out of 25 balls. KKR chased 184/0 in 14.5 overs with top scorer Chris Lynn mustering an unbeaten 93 runs out of 41 deliveries and Gautam Gambhir scoring an unbeaten 76 runs in 48 balls.
