Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals (CSK vs DC) will play against each other for the first time in the 55th Match of IPL 2022. The match is scheduled to take place on 8th May at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. CSK is led by MS Dhoni and DC is led by Rishabh Pant. Chennai Super Kings is currently at the ninth position on the points table of the 15th season of the TATA IPL. CSK played a total of 10 matches but they managed to win just three matches. In their last game against RCB, they lost the match by 13 runs. Devon Conway and Moeen Ali smashed 56 runs and 34 runs respectively for Chennai Super Kings in that game. The yellow army was led by Ravindra Jadeja but due to the poor performance of the team, Dhoni was given back the captaincy.

Delhi Capitals are at the fifth spot on the points table. They played their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad and won the match by 21 runs. David Warner mustered 92 runs and Rovman Powell scored 67 runs for Delhi Capitals in that game. They have to really put in a good effort if they desire to qualify for the playoffs.

CSK vs DC: Match Prediction

MS Dhoni returned as the skipper of CSK but that didn’t change the fortunes much and they are still not in the race for playoffs. The remaining matches will be played by them for boosting their pride for next season. On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals produced a descent performance against SRH but managed to win the game. The return of Anrich Nortje is going to definitely boost their confidence. Chennai Super Kings is likely to win this match.
