Ousmane Dembele is in talks with Barcelona about his future at the club. His agent, Moussa Sissoko, will meet with the board again in the coming days to sort out the future of his client.

The player has already rejected several contract proposals from the club in the past. The main reason behind him not accepting the proposal of the club is due to the financial package offered. Dembele is holding out for a better salary, despite the financial difficulties that the club is going through.

Barcelona need time to find a solution and improve their proposal for Dembélé.

The winger has already received better proposals from clubs across the continent for a move away. He is aware that staying at Camp Nou would mean taking a cut on his salary for the coming years. As a result, he is taking his time to decide his future despite positive talks with the board.

In the January transfer window, it was almost certain that the France international would end up leaving since he hadn’t agreed to a new deal. He was also publicly ruled out of the first team. But, Xavi has decided to give him a chance and he has repaid the manager’s faith, providing 11 assists in 17 games this year.

Barcelona are aware that they need to improve their financial offer to keep Ousmane Dembele. And they need time to explore all the options on their end. However, only a month remains before he is a free agent and is able to walk away from the club for no transfer fee.
