Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad is the franchise cricket team based in Hyderabad, Yelangana, playing in the IPL. The franchise is owned by Kalanithi Maran of SUN Group anad was founded in 2012 after Deccan Chargers got terminated. The team is led by Kane Williamson and coached by Trevor Bayliss. The team’s home ground is the Rajiv Gandhu International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.

History

Sunrisers Hyderabad replaced Deccan Chargers in 2012 and made its debut in 2013. The team is owned by Sun TV Network who won the bid with ₹85.05 crore (US$11 million). The team jersey was revealed on 8 March, 2013 and the anthem was composed by G.V Prakash Kumar ang got released on 12 March, 2013. The team logo was revealed on 20 December 2012. The team’s management was first led by  Kris Srikkanth, now replaced by veteran Muttiah Muralitharan, Tom Moody and V. V. S. Laxman. The franchise lifted the trophy in 2016.

Strength

The team led by Kane Williamson and has a young and energetic squad. Nicholas pooran and Aidan Markram, the former players from PBKS have a good record in batting. SRH retained Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umran Malik who have proved their abilities in the league. The franchise added South African pacer Marco Jansen who will give a very good Bowling attack.

Weakness

The young Indian players are yet to prove their abilities. Abhishek Sharma or Priyam Garg or Abdul Samad have reputation for talented youngsters but their potential haven’t been used yet. the top line bowlers Bhuveneshwar Kumar and Nataranjan are injury prone and haven’t had a good performance in recent times. Apart from Kartik Tyagi, there is no good back-up option for the team.
