As per Counterpoint, the share of Android flagship smartphones in the Chinese market has fallen by 8%

In the last couple of years, the way iPhones have dominated the premium smartphone market is incredible, people have been flocking towards them instead of buying an Android flagship. For the market share of Android smartphones priced above US$600 (about 3,828 yuan) in China, there has been a downfall from 44.6% in 2020 to 36.5% in 2021. As ITHome states, this is mostly because of the fall of Huawei and which is why Apple is dominating in the largest smartphone market of the world.

Even though a lot of Chinese smartphone makers are launching new phones like Xiaomi’s Mi 12 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra or Honor’s Magic V and Magic 4 series or Oppo’s Find N and OPPO Find X5 series. It is expected that a lot of these new Android flagships will give a tough competition to Apple, however, the task won’t be easy at all.
