Mumbai Indians is the franchise cricket team is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra in the Indian Premier League. It was a part of the IPL since the first season of the league. It is owned by the biggest conglomerate, Reliance Industries through its subsidiary IndiaWin Sports. The team plays its home matches in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
History
The BCCI revealed the owners of eight city-based franchises. The Mumbai franchise got sold to Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) for $111.9 million and was the most expensive team that got sold in the league. RIL is owned by Mukesh Ambani and acquired the rights for a period of over 10 years. Mumbai Indians is led by Rohit Sharma right now and under his captaincy, the team won the tournament five times, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. The team has won the finale most of the time.

Strength
Mumbai Indians is the only team in IPL to win the trophy five times. The youngster Ishan Kisan is expected to get a lot of runs for the team. There are power hitters like Tim David and Dewald Brevis who will be great finishers along with Pollard. Most probably, Pollard will be filling the gap of Hardik Pandya.
Weakness
Mumbai Indians is going to miss the bowling attack of Jofra Archer who was the perfect partner for Bumrah and they could have resisted a lot of runs together, Rohit Sharma will have to look for the options like Tymal Mills, Riley Meredith, Basil Thampi and Jaydev Unadkat. Also, it can be noticed from Bumrah’s performance that no matter how good wicket-taking abilities one has, every bowler can go through bad days. The franchise will also miss the craft of leg-spinner Rahul Chahar.
