You do not have to upgrade your AMD 300 series motherboard for a Ryzen 5000 processor

While AMD was against the decision of board partners to release unofficial BIOS updates but recently owing to the huge competition it is facing from Intel, the Red team has made it official that Zen 3 support will be coming on even X370, B350 & A320 chipsets.

AMD wanted to reserve the Ryzen 5000 series for their 500 series motherboards but fans didn’t support this and AMD had to open the support for 400 series motherboards. Now, to lure more customers and extend the sale of its newer and older Ryzen 5000 series processors, the Red team has extended support even on its older 300 series motherboards.

The latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processors will be supported on AMD X370, B350 and A320 chipsets, offering a seamless upgrade path to “Zen 3” performance.
