5. David Silva: 153 contributions (60G + 93A) 

David Silva is one of the best attacking  midfielders to step foot in the Premier League. And he is the man that kicks off the list of midfielders with the most goal contributions in England. The Manchester City legend holds several other records in the league, and has an outstanding legacy with the Sky Blues.

Fabregas featured for Arsenal and Chelsea across two different spells in the Premier League. With both clubs, he achieved a very respectable status, and has been able to win every single trophy available to him during his career. 

3. Paul Scholes: 162 contributions (107G + 55A) 

With Manchester United, Scholes established himself as one of the best passers of the ball. The iconic midfielder scored over 100 goals during his time with the Red Devils, and also provided more than 50 assists, while achieving legendary status with the club. 

2. Steven Gerrard: 212 contributions (120G + 92A) 

The former Liverpool captain is revered as one of the best midfielders to ever play for the club, as well as England. However, he falls short to his national teammate and club rival when it comes to the stats. But this doesn’t take away from the fact that during his time, he was one of the best and most versatile players in the heart of the park.

Frank Lampard is the only midfielder in the Premier League to have more than 100 goals and assists. He spent the majority of his career with Chelsea, and had a brief spell with Manchester City before eventually hanging up his boots, in the history books as one of the best of all time.
