Bayern Munich have their eyes on Ajax youngster Ryan Gravenberch in the summer. But, they could be put off by the transfer fee that the Eredivisie champions are asking for.

While there is nothing advanced with Ajax as of yet, the €30 million price tag for the 19-year-old is too much according to the Bayern Munich officials. His market value at the time of writing is at €35 million, which is actually higher than the asking price. However, it could be negotiated and reduced upon discussions if they take place further.

The teenager has been hyped up to be the next big thing in Europe, and has been impressive during his time on the pitch as well. He is reportedly open to joining the Bundesliga giants in the summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn also had a talk with Ryan Gravenberch’s agent, Mino Raiola, in Monaco. But, so far, things have not progressed much further between the two parties.

Liverpool have been linked with the talented youngster as well, and are also in the preliminary stages of scouting. No official bids have been made for the youngster, but it seems like his future is set to be away from Ajax, much like the talented players before him.

Gravenberch’s contract expires in June 2023, and Ajax will have to extend his contract, or consider selling him soon. Otherwise, they run the risk of losing him for free at the end of the 2022/23 season.
