Samsung‘s much-awaited Galaxy S22 Series will be launching globally on the 9th of February at 8:30 PM IST. The Series will arrive as the successor to last year’s Galaxy S21 Series and the lineup comes with vanilla, Plus, and Ultra variants.
The upcoming Series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip in India as per tipster Ishan Agarwal. The Galaxy S22 Series will release in some regions with the Exynos 2200 chip and with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip in some areas.
Samsung has been accustomed to launching its flagship phones in India with its Exynos chips, which is not always the best as the other top brands standardize the chips they use to power their phones globally.
The upcoming Galaxy S22 Series will be different from its predecessors. The company is gearing up to launch the flagship Galaxy S Series device with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. This has been welcomed by Samsung’s Indian user-base.
It was reported in December that the Galaxy S22 Series in India will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the latest development solidifies the chances of the next-generation S-Series to debut with the processor. All three devices are likely to have the same chip.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is based on 4nm architecture and an ARMv9 design. It has a tri-cluster design and supports 5G connectivity. It carries support for both sub-6GHz and mmWave networks.
We will have to wait till tomorrow for the complete details, pricing, and availability of the Galaxy S22 Series.
