Indian teams set for AFC Champions League
The AFC Champions League draw was held at Kuala Lumpur, and the tournament will be played in April, at a centralised venue. The groups will be played out in a double round-robin format.
Mumbai City FC are making their debut in the competition after winning the ISL for the first time last year. They are only the second ISL team to qualify for the competition after FC Goa earned a spot in the competition last year.
The Gaurs finished with three draws and three defeats in their attempt, and Mumbai City have a chance to be the first ISL team to win a game in the competition.
Mumbai City FC have not been in the best form over the last few weeks, and have been displaced from their spot at the top of the table. As a result, they will have to return to their top level if they want to be successful in the continental Cup.
