It was a very hard day for team India as the hosts won the game by 2-1. India has fought really hard but they couldn’t win the match.

Australian player Keegan Peterson ” It hasn’t sunk in yet. It’s a mixed bag to be honest. I just took every little positive I could, and have been confident in my preparation. Has been a tough journey. It’s been a long journey, can’ really tell the whole journey right now. Challenging wickets, conditions, and I’ve just had to deal with them all. We’ve always just had to tough it out. We just had a tough mindset going into this. Been enjoying a lot. Spending a lot of time at the wicket was crucial.”

Keegan Peterson was the top scorer who made 82 runs and Rassie van der Dussen had 41 runs, Dean Elgar scored 30 runs and Temba Bavuma made 32. They made the major contributions. What Indian skipper Virat Kohli has to say

Virat Kohli is very disappointed with India’s loss against South Africa. Virat Kohli said there is “no running away” from the fact that India’s batting needs to be improved.

“It is definitely batting. I don’t think we can pinpoint any other aspect of our game as a team,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation when speaking of what led to the defeat. “Yes, the batting obviously has to be looked into. There’s no running away from that. Having collapses every now and then is not a good thing. And that’s something we need to analyse and correct, moving forward.”- Virat Kohli
