Arthouse studio A24 has recently dropped the trailer of the latest feature of director Ti West’s, X that has been explained as “a wild horror ride”. It has come from the cult filmmaker of The House of the Devil and The Innkeepers.
It reveals a two-and-a-half-minute trailer that shows some characters with such a bunch of young filmmakers and also actors with such Hollywood dreams and also has been landed up at the desolate Texas farm. They also have been asked for much of the ancient owner like they can utilize his property to shoot such film like its “own studio backlot.” They are not just shooting just like any old film and this is definitely not Super 8. They are shooting porn.
X: Plot
It reveals the group of teen filmmakers who had been set out for making an adult film in rural Texas, but while their reclusive, elderly have been hosts catch them in such act, the cast also will be seen to be fighting for their lives.
It shows a night falls in which the elderly farmer and his kooky wife start to take “a leering interest” in the gang and also with their project. The trailer has already done such a good job by not exposing so much about the plot but it has been teased with such playful tone that West brings with most of the movies.
It is quite interesting that X is his first feature in six years. The last film was in 2016 Western In a Valley of Violence featuring Ethan Hawke and John Travolta. The last horror film was found in 2014’s footage The Sacrament that film was based on the Jonestown Massacre of 1978, West had given it a contemporary setting. Now X is definitely a proper horror period film.
There is a red-hued poster for X in the farmhouse and also has a lady’s legs that have been crossed in such a manner that has been read with the title of the film. There is a tagline on it like “Dying to show you a good time.” And in one corner there was the Motion Picture Associations’ Rating –R. “for strong bloody violence and gore, strong sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use, and language.”
X: Cast
This film will feature Jenna Ortega, Mia Goth, Scott Mescudi, Brittany Snow., Martin Henderson, Owen Campbell, and Stephen Ure.
X: Release date
This film will hit the theatre on 18th March 2022.
