Juventus has been linked with a deal for a current Barcelona player. Federico Chiesa, who suffered an ACL injury earlier this week, was ruled out for the remainder of the season for the Old Lady.
About the Loan Deal
Chiesa is a vital piece for both Juventus and Italy, and Massimiliano Allegri, the former’s head coach, will be looking for a successor. According to recent Italian rumors, this might lead him to Barcelona star Memphis Depay. Memphis is reportedly interested in signing with Juventus during this window, according to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sport.
Barca recently acquired Ferran Torres, who will most likely play one of the winger positions, and with Ousmane Dembélé and Ansu Fati, Memphis’ starting prospects may be limited.
This could prompt Juventus to request that Memphis be loaned out until the conclusion of the season. Barcelona, on the other hand, is unlikely to weaken their front line after having just strengthened it. Only if they are permitted to sign Juventus star Alvaro Morata, a player Allegri has stated he does not want to lose, are they likely to consider a deal.
Chiesa under Serious Injury
Chelsea’s rumored pursuit of Juventus forward Federico Chiesa may have to be put on hold for now. Chiesa was outstanding against the west Londoners during the Champions League group stage earlier this season, earning man-of-the-match honors in a 1-0 victory in Turin.
According to certain sources, the former Fiorentina player has gained the attention of Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel, with Italian journalist Enzo Bucchioni stating that the reigning European champions are contemplating a bid for the gifted playmaker.
Any initiatives to sign Chiesa, who is recognized at £63 million on Transfermarkt, shortly have been thwarted by his recent injury, with the Italian international suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury that will keep him out for the majority of 2022 and effectively rule out a move to Stamford Bridge.
