A terrific game between Chelsea and Liverpool ended in a 2-2 draw. Despite the extremely high stakes in the game for both the teams, Manchester City are the ones that are actually benefiting. They are ten points ahead at the top of the table with the draw between two of their closest rivals.

Jurgen Klopp was not on the touchline after testing positive for COVID, alongside Alisson. Romelu Lukaku was dropped from the Chelsea squad after his comments against the club a few days ago.

Mohamed Salah would then score his 16th goal of the season, beating Edouard Mendy with a shimmy before slotting the ball in with his left foot. His penalty miss against Leicester City in midweek is now history, with another goal to his name.

Chelsea sprung back to life shortly after, with Mateo Kovacic scoring from outside the box, just like all of his goals for the club so far. Christian Pulisic scored for the Blues right before the second half to level things up, with a great finish after being played in by N’Golo Kante.

The final stages of the game saw Liverpool stay compact and defend against Chelsea’s attack. Despite a number of close calls, the Merseysiders would hold on to take two points away from Stamford Bridge.
