For their CES 2022 event, Asus has already promised an exciting demonstration of new computers and accessories for gamers and non-gamers equally. Now it appears that the show will include a world premiere for the ROG Flow Z13.
The Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet stuns in real-world photos as speculation mounts over price, specs, and a possible Y900 model, and the OEM is now hyping it as “the world’s most powerful gaming tablet Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet stuns in real-world photos as speculation mounts over price, specs, and a possible Y900 model.” Before its official presentation, ROG Global has effectively confirmed its I/O.
A full-sized USB Type-A connector and a 3.5mm jack are rumored to be among the alternatives. Asus’ new billboard, which shows what appears to be two components of the device in profile to form a stylized ‘Z,’ now confirms that this is the case, with a microSD card slot and a USB Type-C connection connecting them.
However, there is no HDMI port: any available space is taken up by a proprietary Asus ROG XG Mobile-type interface, which includes a second Type-C connector. The Flow Z13 now appears to have a kickstand as well as a keyboard dock, which could help with at least some of the device’s cooling.
The internals of the ROG Flow Z13 is yet to be revealed, although the appearance of a Thunderbolt logo next to the independent type-C port suggests an Intel platform. This and other details could be revealed on January 4, 2022, when the gaming 2-in-1 is unveiled.
