Xiaomi held one of the biggest launch events today where it unveiled the Xiaomi 12 flagship series, the Xiaomi Buds 3, and the Xiaomi Watch S1. It also gave us a clear look at MIUI 13.
Coming to the Xiaomi Watch S1, it is the latest wearable from Xiaomi that has a classic style and looks like a watch you could wear on casual as well as formal occasions.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 has a 1.43″ AMOLED touchscreen display with 326PPI surrounded by a refined stainless steel frame. Xiaomi has attempted to keep the display and design as elegant as possible while retaining its minimalist approach.
The display has a layering of sapphire glass. Users get an option of choosing from a leather wristband or a fluorine rubber strap.
The AMOLED display of the Xiaomi Watch S1 provides a crystal-clear viewing of the screen even on the brightest of days.
This makes it easier for users to check messages, calls, notifications, and other apps at any time of the day. The watch also provides health insights while supporting 117 fitness modes and 5ATM water resistance.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 has 117 sports modes, including sleep tracking, heart rate, and blood oxygen monitoring as well.
It also comes with NFC for contactless payment and it supports Bluetooth calling and dual-frequency GNSS positioning.
The Watch S1 has a 470mAh battery with a battery life of up to 12 days on a single charge. The wearable offers up to 24 days of standby time. It uses magnetic charging.
In addition to this, the Mi Watch S1 supports third-party apps, including NetEase Cloud Music, Baidu Maps, etc., but iOS users are at a disadvantage as third-party apps are not supported at the moment.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 is priced at CNY 1,099 or 12,883 INR. The Watch will officially go on sale from the 31st of December in China. The leather strap option will cost users an extra CNY 100. The Watch S1 comes in obsidian black and streamer silver.
