Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is ready to leave the club after a long spell on the bench. There are currently no talks with Ajax for a transfer, despite the rumours. But, they could make a move for the player since Andre Onana is set to join Inter Milan soon.
Henderson has always been very respectful towards Manchester United, but the spell on the bench has changed his idea about his future at the club. With David De Gea emerging as the undisputed number 1 again, Henderson has decided to leave the club.
The 24-year-old’s priority is to get game time, and that will not be possible at Manchester United. So, a move in January or in the summer transfer window seems to be on the cards for the goalkeeper.
Dean Henderson’s journey so far
The player made a name for himself with Sheffield United, helping them earn promotion to the top flight. After returning for another year on loan, he managed to get Chris Wilder’s team to survive in their first season back in the Premier League.
After earning a lot of praise for his performances between the sticks, Dean Henderson signed a new contract with Manchester United. He would then link up with the first team, and got in a few Premier League appearances at the back end of the previous season, as David De Gea struggled for form.
But with the Spaniard back in top shape once more, it has become very hard for the youngster to step in and earn game time. So, a move away will seemingly benefit all parties.
