Epic’s relationship with Fortnite’s small army of data miners and leakers has always been strained. Perhaps nowhere is this more true than when a new Fortnite season or chapter is on the horizon. Epic has allegedly asked the typical leakers to refrain from disclosing anything relating to the Fortnite Chapter 3 reveal event “The End” with Fortnite Chapter 3 on the horizon.
This didn’t stop a massive teaser from appearing on TikTok, implying a significant overhaul to the Fortnite map and more in Chapter 3. It also didn’t stop Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson from promoting his energy drink brand alongside a mystery Fortnite relic in a video.
See the post below for further information.
The video, which appears to be a TikTok promo for Fortnite Chapter 3, depicts characters from the first season of Chapter 2 getting washed away by a big wave, followed by Agent Jones treading water in the ocean far away from the Fortnite island.
The island can be seen jutting out of the ocean and extending into the stratosphere, like an earthen Titanic, and is ringed by alien ships from Season 7 and the tsunami wall after Season 2. Something teleports the island back to calmer seas, but the massive landmass has already flipped over and landed on its backside, displaying what looks to be a whole new layout.
If you’re unfamiliar, the Foundation was the Iron Man-like entity that teamed up with Agent Jones to save the Fortnite island from a spatial disaster back in season 5. Since then, the Foundation has been attempting to track him down to complete his business. Essentially, his goal is to break the temporal loop that powers Fortnite’s bizarre battle royale universe.
Surprisingly, the person recording Johnson also turns the camera upside down on occasion, much like the island shown in the leaked TikTok video. The Rock will most likely have a part in Fortnite Chapter 3, whether as a new cosmetic to acquire in the battle pass, purchase in the item shop, or maybe voice a character.
Agent Jones is already voiced by Troy Baker, the man with a million video game voice jobs, so it’s not a leap to assume Epic would pay big bucks to have the Rock involved. Because of the identical construction and visual aesthetic seen in the Reddit image below, there was a lot of conjecture earlier this year that the Rock may play the Foundation.
