Real Madrid are looking to offload a number of first team players in January, with Marcelo, Isco, Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard on the list of potential departures.
All these players have found game time hard to come by, and as a result, are on the verge of moving elsewhere for a boost in morale. Isco has played only six La Liga games so far, and has featured for 166 minutes. He is yet to make an appearance in the Champions League.
Marcelo has 21 minutes in the Champions League and 89 minutes in the league. Gareth Bale has not been seen on the pitch for Madrid since his injury in August. The winger has also fallen behind in the pecking order with Vinicius Jr, Lucas Vasquez and Rodrygo being preferred ahead of him.
Eden Hazard has not been able to find his form this season either. The Belgian was considered a starter at the beginning of the season. But, Vinicius Jr’s incredible form has caused him to be relegated to the bench yet again.
As of yet, there are no confirmations as to whether Madrid would want a simple loan deal or a permanent transfer for these players. But, considering that a future at Madrid looks bleak for all of them, a permanent move would be more realistic.
Marcelo and Bale are expected to leave the club at the end of the season as their contracts expire. Isco would have a number of suitors, while Eden Hazard’s situation is yet to have more certainty to it.
