Detailed specifications about AMD Zen 4 Dense chiplet design appear at Moore’s Law is Dead

In the latest video published by the YouTube channel, Moore’s Law is Dead, we get the detailed listing of the AMD Zen 4D or Zen 4 Dense chiplet design for next-gen Ryzen & EPYC CPUs. The leaker and insider have revealed brand new core technology that will tackle Intel’s hybrid architecture approach by 2023.

According to sources, we know that the new AMD Zen 4D chiplet design will be implemented in the next generation of Ryzen and EPYC CPUs however it will also be first seen in action on the Bergamo lineup of server chips that are planned for launch in 2023.

It will be interesting to see the showdown between Intel and AMD as both companies will feature two different core technologies on the same chip & with their underlying cache design.

Sources also indicate that AMD’s cores will be featuring lower clock speeds to hit power consumption targets but the main goal is to increase the overall core density. Zen 4 will also be rocking 8 cores per chiplet, Zen 4D will rock up to 16 cores per chiplet.

The video further explains that AMD’s Genoa will be featuring AVX-512 and the information was first revealed by the leaked documents from Gigabyte and Bergamo will be aimed at applications that require core density over AVX-512 support.

Zen 5 Cores will be AMD’s answer to everything that Intel will offer in the coming years, as they are expected to bring up to 20-40% IPC increase over Zen 4 and will launch by the end of 2023 or early 2024. AMD is planning to hit hard on Intel’s hybrid architecture approach in the future and plans to beat them in their own game.
