The Champions League has seen some of the best players in the world compete for the biggest prize in football. Some of the best goalscorers have played in this competition, and here are the top five goalscorers after 100 games played. 

5. Raul: 51 

The Real Madrid legend had scored 51 goals by the time he made his 100th appearance. He went on to score 71 times in 142 total appearances in the Champions League. He scored in two Champions League finals, lifting the title three times.

4. Karim Benzema: 53 

Benzema is among the most consistent performers in the world now and has lifted the Champions League four times with Los Blancos. The talismanic forward remains the focus of Real Madrid’s attacking line. 

3. Cristiano Ronaldo: 64

Ronaldo is the highest goalscorer of all-time in the Champions League, netting 139 goals in 180 appearances. He has won the Champions League title with Manchester United, as well as Real Madrid, and is the best performer in the competition of all time. 

2. Lionel Messi: 77 

Messi started his professional career in Europe with Barcelona, and has scored 123 goals in 152 total appearances. The Argentinian has won the Champions League four times with Barcelona and currently features for Paris Saint-Germain.

Lewandowski netted a hat-trick against Benfica on his 100th Champions League appearance. The 33-year-old leads the list of the most goals scored after 100 appearances in the Champions League. He recently lifted the title with Bayern in 2020, also finishing as the top scorer.
