Valorant gets its new agent in the form of Chamber a sentinal character

We now have information about the next playable agent coming Valorant and his name is Chamber. Riot explains that the new agent is a sentinel character and we have a new cinematic trailer for Chamber which has been released by Riot studio and the trailer reveals his abilities as well.

Since he is a sentinel character, Chamber is adept at locking down a zone for his teammates, and he utilizes his abilities to slow down his targets long enough to deal damage with his unique heavy pistol and a sniper rifle.

He is the true example of the best defense is the best offense. It will be quite interesting to see how Chamber will impact the in-match meta since his Headhunter and Tour de Force abilities mean that he doesn’t necessarily have to spend too many credits towards purchasing new weapons.

Chamber’s Abilities

  • Ability 1: Trademark – Place a trap that scans for enemies. When a visible enemy comes in range, the trap counts down and then destabilizes the terrain around them, creating a lingering field that slows players caught inside of it.
  • Ability 2: Headhunter – Activate to equip a heavy pistol. Alt fire with the pistol equipped to aim down sights.
  • Ability 3: Rendezvous – Place two teleport anchors. While on the ground and in range of an anchor, reactivate to quickly teleport to the other anchor. Anchors can be picked up to be redeployed.
  • Ultimate Ability: Tour de Force – Activate to summon a custom sniper rifle that will kill an enemy with any direct hit. Killing an enemy creates a lingering field that slows players caught inside of it.

The new agent, Chamber, will join Valorant’s roster on November 16 and he’ll come along with Patch 3.10, which is scheduled to go live on November 16, following the start of Valorant Episode 3, Act 3 on November 2.

“Our concern is that gameplay clarity, such as visual cues of what the agent is doing, was not quite there yet. In a game like Valorant where decisions are made in milliseconds, these aspects must be there. This was not an easy decision for us, and hope you understand while we take the extra time to wrap up the final loose ends.
