Reliance Jio may soon be planning to release its Jio Notebook in the market

According to the latest information, Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio has reportedly delayed the launch of JioPhone Next, however, reports further indicate that this is not the only product the company is planning to launch in the next couple of months.

According to a tweet by tipster Mukul Sharma, three variants of the Jio Notebook have received certification from BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) hinting at an imminent launch.

In the tweet, Mukul Sharma has also provided a screenshot about the listing, and according to the listings, we know that the Jio laptop carries three internal model designations — NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW, and NB1112MM — indicating that the Reliance Jio laptop could come in three different variants.

No other new information has been made available about the Jio Notebook yet.

The rumors about Reliance Jio’s laptop have been started to surface online since march, and also that the device will be called the JioBook. The device will also run on a custom Android OS which is the JioOS. The laptop is also expected to come with 4G LTE connectivity support.

It also reported that the telecom company had partnered with China-based Bluebank Communication Technology to develop the laptop. And the report further mentions that many iterations of the laptop have been developed so far. These include a 2GB LPDDR4X RAM with 32GB of EMMC storage and a 4GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

Reliance-Jio has also outsourced low-cost components from different vendors among which the notable ones are are Samsung for their combined mobile DRAM and NAND chip and Qualcomm for its Snapdragon 665.

The upcoming laptop will be equipped with a display having 1366×768 pixel resolution, and will also come with support for WiFi over 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies along with Bluetooth, a three-axis accelerometer, and a Qualcomm audio chip.
