It seems that the Chinese electronics giant Lenovo is gearing up to launch a new tablet as an upcoming device called the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro spotted on Google Play Console and first reported by MySmartPrice. The listing reveals the important specification details of the upcoming tablet. So without making any further delay let’s dive into the article to check out all the available information about the upcoming Lenovo tablet.
Lenovo released a device called the Tab P11 Pro in 2020. Despite its name, the OEM saw fit to equip it with the mid-range Snapdragon 730G processor. However, it now seems this issue might be addressed in this device’s successor.
A tablet with the name to match this description has reportedly popped up on the Google Play Console. This new listing also indicates that this Tab P12 Pro (or TB-Q706F) will be powered by the Snapdragon 855, Qualcomm’s flagship SoC from 2019. Even though this chipset is much older, it still has a higher maximum clock-speed than the 730G, and is based on a 7 nanometer (nm) architecture, whereas the newer silicon is 8nm.
Its new leak also suggests it will have 8GB of RAM, an improvement over the P11 Pro’s 6GB. Then again, the 2 devices will apparently share the same 2560×1600 resolution display. Pricing and global availability information have not been released yet. Indeed the date of unveiling of the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is also not known.
The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro could be just weeks away from its launch. We would expect more details about the device as we progress to its eventual unveiling. There are a few specs and features that are yet to be released for the device.
