Manchester City and Aston Villa are close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of Jack Grealish, with a £100 million bid now being tabled for the England international.
At the end of the 20/21 club season, Harry Kane indicated that he wanted to leave Tottenham to play in the Champions League. According to the Telegraph, the England captain will return to Spurs’ training camp on Monday for Covid tests and will have a conversation with Daniel Levy to let him leave the club.
Kane is expected to ask for a transfer to Manchester City since they are the frontrunners in the race to sign the Golden Boot winner. Daniel Levy has maintained that he will try everything to keep the striker at the club, but his hold on the player is slowly slipping with things expected to reach a conclusion by the end of the transfer window.
Tottenham’s number 10 still has a contract, and City will have to break the transfer record twice in the same window to sign the forward. They are currently in the process of setting a new record for Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish and could have two of the best players in the Premier League added to their squad soon.
City is without an established striker following the departure of Sergio Aguero to join Barcelona, and Kane could be the long-term replacement for the Argentinian at the Etihad by the time the season gets underway.
