Manchester United is one of Europe’s wealthiest and most valuable clubs. With a loss of £457.60 million since the 2017/18 season, they have the biggest net spend in the Premier League. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made some excellent transfer market acquisitions this summer. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes were all excellent additions in the past.

5) Angel Di Maria – £67.5m

via Goal

Angel Di Maria, among all the excellent players Manchester United has brought in, has proven to be one of the worst. The Argentine is an exceptional player. Man United, in fact, may have signed him at the most opportune time. Di Maria had recently won the Champions League and had also finished second in the FIFA World Cup. Di Maria also got off to a fast start, contributing seven goals in his first six games, including a spectacular chipped finish against Leicester. The drop-off in Argentina, on the other hand, was severe. The winger struggled to adjust to life in Manchester, which hampered his on-field efforts.

4) Romelu Lukaku – £76.2m

via 90 MIN

In recent years, Romelu Lukaku has scored some crucial goals for Manchester United. The striker was a flop at Chelsea and didn’t get along with manager Jose Mourinho. After joining Inter Milan from Chelsea, Lukaku has become one of Europe’s hottest commodities. In two seasons, he has a total of 28 goals, which isn’t bad.

3) Jadon Sancho – £76.5m

via CNBC

Jadon Sancho has joined Manchester United for an undisclosed amount from Borussia Dortmund. On Saturday, Jose Mourinho will take leadership of the Red Devils for the first time. The rebuilding of the Manchester club is nearing completion. The Reds appear to have more depth than in recent years, and they could have a promising season ahead of them.

2) Harry Maguire – £78.3

via Goal

Harry Maguire is undoubtedly one of Manchester United’s best recent acquisitions. At Manchester United, however, he has had a bit of a roller-coaster ride. During his debut season, his exorbitant cost raised numerous eyebrows. In fact, Maguire cost Liverpool more than Virgil Van Dijk. Despite all of the questions and concerns, Maguire has only grown stronger in the red stripes. Maguire is now Man United’s captain and, without a question, the most crucial player in the starting lineup. He has put forth a lot of effort to get every penny back to his club, and it shows.

1) Paul Pogba – £94.5m

via Football 365

Paul Pogba joined Manchester United five years ago after leaving Juventus. In addition to winning the Scudetto four times and finishing second in the Champions League once, the French midfielder was named Serie A Player of the Year in 2013/14. At Old Trafford, however, he has yet to find his ideal role. With only a year left on his current contract, PSG is allegedly interested in signing Pogba.
