Yesterday, 2K unveiled the release date and cover stars for its upcoming next season game of NBA 2K22. Since the 2021 NBA finals are currently in full glory, now is the best time to announce the next edition in the long-running NBA 2K franchise.
The official prices of the game have also been announced, and the standard edition of the game costs $70 on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, and the Cross-Gen Digital Bundle costs $80. However, for those who want to buy NBA 2K22 for last-gen consoles and upgrade it, they will have to pay a $20 premium.
The NBA 2K22 Standard Edition will be fronted by Dallas Mavericks star Luca Doncic, and the NBA 2K22 75th Anniversary Edition will feature Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Durant. Below is the information is given about the NBA 2K22 covers and the various version of the game:
- Standard Edition will be available for $59.99 on previous-gen platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC) and $69.99 on new-gen consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S). In North America, a special version of the Standard Edition featuring six-time WNBA All-Star and WNBA Champion, Candace Parker, on the cover will be available exclusively through GameStop and EB Games.
- The Cross-Gen Digital Bundle will be available for $79.99 and grant players access to the Standard Edition across previous- and new-gen within the same PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
- NBA 2K22 NBA 75th Anniversary Edition will be available for $99.99 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Dual-gen access is included for both the Cross-Gen Digital Bundle and NBA 75th Anniversary Edition for the PS4/PS5 and Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S platforms and provides a version of the game on each console generation within the same console family. The NBA 75th Anniversary Edition for Nintendo Switch will only be available in digital format in the EMEA region.
NBA 2K22 is open for pre-orders now and will hit the court on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Switch on September 10.
