Apple’s upcoming iMac to have a larger screen and the next-gen Apple Silicon

According to previous leaks and rumours, Apple was working on a redesigned version of the iPad Mini with no Home button and slimmer bezels. Now, recent reports from Bloomberg suggest that the redesigned iPad mini will be released this fall. Still, the Cupertino giant is also working on a larger iMac with Apple Silicon inside.

According to sources, the new iPad mini “should be a go” for a release this fall. It also revealed that the device’s design will be similar to the latest iPad Air and will also have the latest processor inside. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman describes it as “the biggest redesign in the nine-year history” of the iPad mini.

iPad Mini was last updated by Apple in 2019, where it received the major support of the then fastest processors, Apple’s A12 Bionic, as well as the Apple Pencil support. It was then speculated that Apple might release an iPad mini that’s between 8.5 inches and 9 inches during the first half of 2021. However, as we all know, that plan just didn’t take off, and instead, we will now be getting the redesigned iPad mini in the fall.

According to sources, Apple is developing a larger-screened iMac powered by Apple Silicon. The “larger, redesigned iMac to replace the Intel 27-inch models is en route.” It also speculated that the device would most likely be powered using an M1X processor or an M2X processor.

We are all expecting the new iMac to come with a larger screen, preferably the latest Mini-LED technology. Hopefully, we will also get to see Apple’s next-generation Silicon power the device.
