Acer is the best know for its gaming accessories and PC’s, and recently the OEM launched its new and powerful Predator gaming monitor in its China market. Recently the company has revealed its monthly financial report, which shows the impressive result for the hardware OEM.
The company has a good run this year; with the arrival of next-gen consoles and Nvidia’s RTX 30 series cards, the demand for high-end gaming PCs and accessories has skyrocketed.
The company’s financial report indicates that the company had yet again posted its best June since 2014. It was revealed to have made just over US$1 billion in revenue, 16.9% more compared to June 2020 and 21.0% more compared to May 2021.
The OEM has released an estimation that its takings for the entire second quarter of 2021 (2Q2021) are at 79.78 billion NTD, or ~$2.85 billion, which is a 21.7% year-on-year (YoY) growth, and also 11.5% more compared to 1Q2021. For the first half of 2021, the OEM also made a total of 151.33 billion NTD (~US$5.4 billion), achieving a 32.2% YoY growth.
And of course, the major source of income comes from Acers sales of gaming PC and Chromebook divisions. The revenue of the gaming division has grown by 35.7% and 41.8% YoY.
At the end of the report, the OEM also mentions that its subsidiaries have posted gains in 2Q2021, claiming that Acer Gadget Inc stands at 21.4% YoY gains and Altos Computing, at 24.9% YoY gains.
