Chelsea have been very quiet this summer about their transfer business. They don’t have any confirmed signings yet, but are in talks with their players regarding numerous contract extensions.
One of the Chelsea players set to get a new deal is Armando Broja, who spent the last season on loan at Dutch club Vitesse and enjoyed a very productive season with them. Broja scored 10 goals and provided 2 assists for them in 30 appearances.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the striker will be a part of the Chelsea first-team squad in their preseason fixtures. He will also be given a new deal until June 2026 since his current deal is only until June 2022. Thomas Tuchel sees the youngster as a good fit for his team and could include Broja in the first team this upcoming season, especially with Olivier Giroud leaving the club.
Currently 19, Broja has already impressed many who keep track of Chelsea’s young talents. He is a tall and physically dominant centre-forward and is incredibly skilled with the ball at his feet as well. He also has great hold up play and will be the perfect replacement for Olivier Giroud in the squad.
Broja made his debut for the Albanian national team in 2020, and has earned 6 caps for the national team so far. He was born in England, but chooses to represent Albania on the national level and has done so on youth levels as well.
