Jailer 2 Box Office Collection Day 22: Rajinikanth’s Blockbuster Nears Rs 519 Crore

Superstar films don’t just open big, they last. Jailer 2 is proving it in Week 3, even as fresh releases squeeze it out of cinemas. Here’s where the numbers stand and how far Rajinikanth’s sequel could still go.

Jailer 2 Box Office Collection So Far

The film earned about Rs 39 crore in Week 3, a roughly 60% drop from the previous week. Its total India run now stands at Rs 518.75 crore nett after 22 days. The third Thursday brought an estimated Rs 1.50 crore, hit by the release of Ramayana.

Territory-Wise Performance

Rajinikanth’s home turf of Tamil Nadu is the film’s backbone, but the other regions made it a pan-South success.

Why Screens Are Shrinking?

The Telugu states, Karnataka and North India have already ended their runs, with Ramayana taking over most screens. Pinkvilla notes the film ranks as the second-biggest Kollywood grosser after 2.0. Tamil Nadu is the one market where it should hold some screens and keep running for around a week.

What to Expect Next?

Another dip is likely on Friday, when Suriya’s Scene reaches theatres, so the coming days will show how much further the film can climb. Even with the slowdown, the sequel has already cemented its place as one of the year’s biggest hits. If you’re planning a late theatre visit, check show availability early, since screen counts are dropping fast.
