Avengers: Doomsday Drops 12 New Posters: Thor, Mr. Fantastic

Marvel is turning up the heat on Avengers: Doomsday. With about seven weeks left before release, a fresh batch of posters has landed, and they show heroes from three different teams using their powers while one villain looms over everything. Here is what The Direct reports.

Avengers: Doomsday Poster Highlights

Poster focus	Who appears	Standout detail
Avengers trio	Thor, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Shuri’s Black Panther	Thor holds both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker amid lightning
X-Men trio	Beast, Gambit, Cyclops	Cyclops fires an optic blast off the page
Fantastic Four duo	Mr. Fantastic, the Thing	Reed Richards stretches an arm
Live-action vs animated	Reed Richards, Ben Grimm	Live-action looks take priority over hand-drawn art
Avengers duo	Sam Wilson, Thor	Shield, Stormbreaker, and Mjolnir all on display
Doom group shots	Doom with Cap, Beast, Cyclops, Thing, Black Panther, Yelena Belova	Doom takes the most visual space

The film arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026.

Doctor Doom Owns the Marketing

If these posters make one thing clear, it is that Doctor Doom is the main attraction. Robert Downey Jr.’s Doom appears in the center of group shots, behind a green-tinted Avengers logo, and in a stained-glass-style image in his classic green costume. Another shows just a hint of Downey’s eyes through the mask. A black-and-white image has him gazing down at a tall building, while one tagline declares he has no rivals.

The Direct notes that Doom is the first live-action version of the character in more than ten years, since Toby Kebbell played him in 2015’s Fan4stic. Marvel appears to be using a strategy similar to its Infinity War approach with Thanos, making the villain the central figure.

A Tribute and a Giant Cast

One foreign poster places Doom above a group of Sentinels and 11 heroes, including Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor X in his wheelchair. The Direct notes that Stewart passed away on October 28. Another poster features Stewart again under a large banner with his name, next to Doom’s head.

Who Is Missing?

Despite the dozen posters, many cast members are absent:

Missing from posters	Notes
Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter)	Rarely in marketing; expected to share screen time with Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers
Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm)	Key to Doom’s story; featured in the latest trailer
Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm)	Fantastic Four member
Ian McKellen (Magneto), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique)	X-Men members
New Avengers, Kathryn Newton (Cassie Lang)	Not featured

Rumored appearances, such as Deadpool, Wolverine, and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, remain unconfirmed.

What to Expect Next?

Marvel is clearly guarding its biggest surprises while teasing the sheer scale of the cast. Expect more promotional material in the weeks ahead, though plenty of questions will likely stay unanswered until the movie hits theaters.
