A Rule-Lover, a Rebel, and a Big Decision: “You, Me, Us” Hits Netflix October 29

Opposites attract, but what happens when they have to decide on parenthood together? Daniele Luchetti’s new Italian film takes that question and turns it into a sentimental comedy.

You, Me, Us: Film Snapshot

The Premise

Simone (Elio Germano) is methodical, loves rules, and treasures family celebrations. Lucia (Maria Chiara Giannetta) is independent, allergic to convention, and has always opposed motherhood. Despite the differences, their bond is strong, and arguments usually end in love and complicity.

Then something changes. When they decide to pursue adoption, their deepest differences come to the surface. Can they overcome the obstacles on this journey? The film frames it as a comedy about facing fears and desires and becoming “a little better,” which is also what the Italian title suggests.

Who’s in It?

Dajana Roncione, Jacopo Olmo Antinori, and Francesca Romana De Martini round out the cast.

Why It’s Worth Watching?

• Relatable conflict. A rule-follower and a free spirit sharing one big life decision is both funny and emotional
• Strong leads. Germano and Giannetta anchor the story, and Netflix’s first-look stills focus heavily on their chemistry
• Festival credentials. It debuted in Rome before arriving on streaming

How to Watch?

The film streams globally on Netflix from October 29, and an official trailer is already available. For background on the filmmaker, see Daniele Luchetti on Wikipedia.
