The Premise

Navier is the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire. When her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, cheats on her with runaway slave Rashta and divorces her, Navier responds by marrying Heinrey, the prince of the Western Empire. Their intertwined relationships are set to spark power struggles that could alter the fate of the empire.

The Four Central Characters

Actor	Character	What the Stills Show
Shin Min Ah	Navier, empress of the Eastern Empire	Regal elegance in a lavish dress, but a hardened expression when she faces Rashta, hinting at cracks in her perfect world
Ju Ji Hoon	Sovieshu, the emperor	A cold aura beside Navier, the authority of a hunting ruler, and a moment alone in deep thought
Lee Jong Suk	Heinrey, prince of the Western Empire	Confident charm, a relaxed demeanor, and an enigmatic smile
Lee Se Young	Rashta, favored by the emperor	Excitement about a new life and hidden ambition behind an innocent gaze

What the Stills Suggest?

Navier’s composure is slipping. Her control wobbles when she meets Rashta.
Sovieshu isn’t carefree. Even an absolute ruler faces conflicts he can’t easily resolve.
Heinrey is a wildcard. He was previously known only through rumors, so his arrival in the Eastern Empire raises questions about the changes he’ll bring and his connection with Navier.
Rashta could cause turmoil. Her desire foreshadows trouble for the imperial court.

Why It’s Generating Buzz?

Royal court romance, betrayal, and a second chance for love are a powerful mix, and the star-heavy cast raises the stakes. Fans of the web novel will also be curious to see how the story translates to screen. For background on the lead actress, see Shin Min-a on Wikipedia.
