Manchester United have successfully negotiated the signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund. The transfer has now been given the ‘here we go’ signal from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, which means that the deal is as good as done.
The German club will receive €90 million for the winger, including add-ons. All personal terms, along with the smaller details such as the agent’s fee has also been agreed upon between the two parties. It is only a matter of the player passing his medical assessment before the deal is made official.
Sancho will sign a contract with United till 2026 and completes a move that has been a year in the making. The former Manchester City academy player was extremely close to signing for United last summer. However, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United were unable to agree on a transfer fee for the player.
The 21-year-old will finally come to Old Trafford in what is set to be one of the most expensive transfers in English football. Despite enduring a difficult start to the 20/21 season, the player managed to find his form towards the end of the campaign and finished the season with the DFB Pokal trophy.
United fans can now breathe a sigh of relief and rejoice, since one of their longest running wishes is coming true this summer. The Red Devils are also expected to sign a centre-back this summer to help challenge for the Premier League title in the upcoming campaign.
