Various rumors are going around regarding the latest and upcoming Switch Pro the successor of Nintendo Switch. And I know that many are excited to purchase it, but the sad news is that, according to the latest leak, it is highly unlikely that the company will be launching its Switch Pro console in 2021.
The information comes from a tweet made by the popular YouTube channel SwitchUp. According to sources, the release information in the post has was reported to the channel by a Chinese peripheral manufacturer that has been working on accessories for the Nintendo Switch Pro.
While many gamers will be dismayed about 2021 not being the year for the new Switch model, but there is hope offered up by the words “they’ve been told 2022 global market release.” However, this a just another rumor in the vast ocean of leaks and rumors surrounding the new Nintendo model, so take it with a pinch of salt.
on another note, Nintendo’s boss, Shuntaro Furukawa, earlier announced that the global semiconductor shortage has caused issues for the company, and in an interview with Nikkei the company’s boss stated that “we are not able to produce all the products we want to.” Since the process crisis is still going strong and the supply chain is broken, it seems to be a good idea to not roll out a Switch Pro or Switch 2 during this time.
A 2022 release schedule for the Nintendo Switch Pro would also make sense in terms of games, as it will line up with the most popular new games to be released like the Breath of the Wild 2. So let’s wait for some official news from the company and let’s hope to get some good news.
