Talk cleans up and punctuates your speech automatically, so you don’t need to learn dictation commands or say “comma” and “full stop” out loud. It works within your existing tools, too. In Slack, for example, you can say a teammate’s name and Talk turns it into the right @mention, leaving you with a message that’s ready to send.
Made for Indian Languages Too
For Indian users, the language support is a real highlight. It covers Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Odia, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi and Sindhi, among others. That opens up voice typing for regional-language workflows that many tools still overlook.
Privacy Built In
Completed dictations are stored locally and can’t be viewed by Fireflies or a workspace admin. To convert speech to text, audio is securely sent to Fireflies’ speech-to-text provider, but the resulting text isn’t stored on Fireflies’ servers or used to train AI models. The company is SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA compliant.
What’s Next?
Fireflies.ai plans to grow Talk into a broader voice interface for its AI Teammate. Future ideas include retrieving information by voice, working with what’s on your screen and eventually taking actions for you.
