Has anyone seen the latest teaser of The Witcher Season 2? Man, that gave me goosebumps. It was during Netflix’s Geeked Week presentation yesterday that we were given eye candy. But believe it or not, that’s not the main story here; yes, Netflix announced a whole Witcher-focused digital event for next month: WitcherCon, coming July 9.
It’s a fantastic thing that will sway every fan of the books, games, and show. The OTT platform will provide WitcherCon with the support of CD Projekt Red. However, the show is based on the books and not on the RPGs developed by CD Projekt Red. This will be the first collaboration from Netflix and CD Projekt, and hopefully, this won’t be the last.
Its also been speculated that, during the event, CD Projekt RED will announce the next-gen, ray-traced port of The Witcher 3. But a new Witcher game is still a dream.
“Deep dives into the making of The Witcher games, live-action series, anime film, and merchandise, including behind-the-scenes footage”
• “Breaking news from the Netflix series and never-before-seen reveals from across The Witcher franchise”
We are also expecting Netflix to drop a proper trailer of the season pretty soon. Netflix has also announced an “anime film” which is a Witcher movie being animated. I cannot thank Netflix enough.
And we are hoping for Netflix to drop a trailer of the new Witcher Anime movie in development. The trailer will be exciting. Netflix is also making a live-action Witcher prequel series called Blood Origin. WitcherCon is divided into two live streams that’ll be on YouTube and Twitch. They’ll both run on July 9: The first at 10 am Pacific, and the second at 6 pm Pacific.
